Millions of people go to soccer stadium to watch their favorite team while millions more watch on televison. One reason for soccer's popularity may be its economy and simplicity. Anyone can afford to play soccer, because it doesn't require expensive expensive equipmentalso has simple rules. Soccer is the number one sport in most of the world. It is not the most popular sport in North America. Ice hockly is the favorite in Canada. American football is the favorite in the United States. However, soccer is gaining new players and fans in those countries too.
